Syncyn Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Syncyn LLC collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when individuals visit or use Syncyn’s websites, web application, mobile application, and related services.

1. Scope and Relationship to Other Agreements

This Privacy Policy describes how Syncyn LLC (“Syncyn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with Syncyn’s websites, mobile applications, web applications, software, features, content, and related products and services (collectively, the “Platform”). It applies to visitors to our public landing pages, individuals who pre-register for Syncyn, recipients of invitations, Users, Creators, Authorized Representatives, and individuals who otherwise communicate with Syncyn.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Payments Terms, and any notices presented at the time information is collected. If a product-specific privacy notice conflicts with this Privacy Policy regarding a particular feature, the product-specific notice controls for that feature to the extent of the conflict.

The Platform is currently intended for use in the United States. This Privacy Policy does not describe employment-related information about Syncyn personnel or information processed solely on behalf of another business under a separate written agreement.

2. Defined Terms

Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings assigned in the Terms of Service.

“Account” means a registered account required to access and use the Platform.

“User” means an individual who accesses or uses the Platform, including an individual with a pending Creator application.

“Creator” means a User who maintains an Approved Creator Profile on Syncyn.

“Profile” means the page and associated information through which a User or Creator is identified and presented within the Platform.

“Project” means a professional engagement initiated and administered through Syncyn’s Project workflow.

“Authorized Representative” means an individual who has satisfied the representative-authority and notice requirements in the Terms of Service and has been permitted by Syncyn to take specified actions for a User.

“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an individual or household. Personal Information does not include deidentified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be linked to an individual.

3. Personal Information We Collect

We collect Personal Information that individuals provide, information generated through use of the Platform, and information received from service providers and other sources.

3.1 Account and Registration Information

When a User creates an Account, we may collect:

  • First and last name;
  • City;
  • Date of birth;
  • Job title;
  • Username;
  • Email address and telephone number;
  • Email and telephone verification status;
  • Login credentials and authentication information; and
  • Account preferences, status, and administrative records.

Date of birth is not displayed on a User’s Profile. Passwords are not visible to Syncyn personnel in readable plaintext form. Users currently sign in directly through Syncyn rather than through Google, Apple, or another social-login provider.

3.2 Pre-Registration Information

Our public landing page may allow an individual to pre-register for Syncyn. We may collect the individual’s first and last name, city, job title, email address, and telephone number. Pre-registration does not create an Account. We use this information to administer pre-registration, provide launch or network updates, confirm contact information, and send an invitation to complete registration. The individual must separately create an Account and accept the applicable Terms and Privacy Policy.

3.3 Creator Application and Profile Information

A Creator application may include:

  • Years of professional experience and industry title;
  • An “About Me” statement;
  • A description of work experience;
  • Social-media and portfolio links;
  • Profile photographs, banners, audio, video, résumés, portfolio materials, and other professional content; and
  • Information or documentation requested to evaluate the application.

Syncyn does not require Users to disclose protected or sensitive characteristics in an application, Profile, “About Me” field, or work-experience field. A User may nevertheless disclose information voluntarily through free-text fields or User Content. Syncyn does not use protected or sensitive characteristics to approve or deny Creator applications, assign Tiers, rank or suppress Profiles, recommend opportunities, or otherwise treat Users differently.

3.4 Identity-Verification Information

Before a Creator begins a first Project, Syncyn may require identity verification through a third-party provider. The provider may collect government identification information, photographs or selfies, and related verification data under its own privacy practices. Syncyn generally receives a verification result, status, reference identifier, and limited information needed to confirm that the Creator is the person represented. We do not use identity-verification information for advertising.

3.5 Social, Messaging, and Network Information

When Users interact through the Platform, we may collect:

  • Posts, media, comments, reactions, likes, saves, shares, and other User Content;
  • Searches, search results, Profile views, and Profile interactions;
  • Connections, shared Connections, invitations, blocks, and reports;
  • Messages, attachments, message status, and communications metadata;
  • Creator and content recommendations and responses to those recommendations;
  • Notification interactions; and
  • Dates, times, and records of actions taken through social or network features.

3.6 Invitation Information

A User may manually provide another person’s email address or telephone number to invite that person to Syncyn. We do not currently upload or synchronize a User’s address book. We use the submitted contact information to deliver and administer the specific invitation, identify the inviting User, and, where disclosed, establish an automatic Connection if the invitee joins through the invitation.

An invitee is not added to Syncyn’s general marketing list or treated as having pre-registered unless the invitee separately consents, pre-registers, or creates an Account.

3.7 Project and Transaction Information

When Creators initiate or participate in a Project, we may collect:

  • Project proposals and Key Project Details, including the Purchaser, Provider, Project name, description, price, estimated payout, Deliverable type, due dates, and revision terms;
  • Proposal modifications, reviews, acceptances, rejections, and related communications;
  • Project stages, status history, timestamps, workflow actions, and dispute records;
  • Contract-workflow metadata, including upload, review, approval, rejection, signature, and completion status;
  • Payment, deposit, fee, refund, payout, and transaction information;
  • File Deliverables, previews, watermarked versions, download activity, and acceptance or revision activity; and
  • Service-delivery attestations and any optional supporting evidence submitted through the Platform.

3.8 Payment and Financial Information

Payment methods, deposits, Project payments, payouts, refunds, and related financial functions are provided through Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. Depending on the payment configuration, the provider may collect payment-card details, bank-account information, billing addresses, taxpayer information, identity information, and payout information.

Syncyn may receive or view limited payment-method details, transaction identifiers, payment status, risk information, refund history, payout status, and other information necessary to administer transactions. Full payment-card numbers and security codes are intended to be handled by the payment provider rather than retained in ordinary Syncyn records.

3.9 Device, Usage, and Technical Information

We may automatically collect:

  • IP address;
  • Browser, operating-system, application-version, and device information;
  • Device or online identifiers;
  • Login history, access dates and times, and activity logs;
  • Referring URLs, navigation paths, searches, and feature interactions;
  • Crash, diagnostic, performance, and error information;
  • Cookie, local-storage, and analytics information; and
  • Fraud, abuse, integrity, and security signals.

Syncyn does not currently collect precise device location. City information provided by the User is not the same as precise geolocation.

3.10 Device Permissions

With permission, the Platform may access a device camera, photo library, or files to allow a User to create Profile Content, complete identity verification, upload Project materials, submit a Deliverable, or provide Project evidence. Device permissions can generally be managed through the device’s settings.

We will request additional permissions, such as microphone or precise-location access, only if the related feature is implemented and appropriate notice or consent is provided.

3.11 Syncyn Card Information

Syncyn may offer a physical NFC-enabled Syncyn Card at Syncyn’s expense. The Card may be programmed with a unique link or identifier that allows a person who taps the Card to view a Creator-authorized Profile-sharing or invitation page and join the network. If disclosed during the invitation process, registration through the Card may establish an automatic Connection with the Creator.

We may collect Card issuance, activation, tap, invitation, registration, and Connection information. A Creator may provide a shipping address to receive the Card. We use the address for fulfillment and do not add it to the Creator’s Profile or use it for unrelated purposes. Limited fulfillment records may remain with Syncyn or a shipping provider as necessary to complete delivery, address fraud or disputes, maintain backups, or comply with law.

3.12 Communications with Syncyn

If an individual emails, calls, texts, or otherwise communicates with Syncyn, we collect the sender’s contact information, the content of the communication, attachments, and information needed to respond or maintain an appropriate record.

Our public landing page currently displays contact@syncyn.io but does not include a separate contact form or newsletter signup.

3.13 Authorized Representative Information

An Authorized Representative seeking access to a Creator’s Account must contact Syncyn and provide an independent email address and telephone number, the representative’s identity and capacity, the represented Creator, the requested scope of authority, and information or documentation reasonably requested to verify authority.

We also collect authorization, access, activity, modification, and revocation records. Possession of login credentials alone does not establish authority.

4. Sources of Personal Information

We may collect Personal Information from:

  • The individual to whom the information relates;
  • Users and Creators who invite, message, connect with, report, contract with, or otherwise interact with another person;
  • Authorized Representatives and represented Creators;
  • Payment, identity-verification, electronic-signature, analytics, hosting, communications, shipping, security, and other service providers;
  • A User’s device, browser, and interactions with the Platform;
  • Social-media pages, portfolio websites, professional sources, and other publicly available sources used to review Creator applications or verify submitted information; and
  • Government authorities, legal process, and parties involved in safety, fraud, infringement, or dispute matters.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We may use Personal Information to:

  • Provide, maintain, administer, and improve the Platform;
  • Create, authenticate, secure, and support Accounts and Profiles;
  • Confirm age, contact information, identity, and eligibility;
  • Review Creator applications, exercise independent judgment, approve or deny applications, and assign or modify Tiers based on professional criteria;
  • Display Profiles and User Content to appropriate audiences within the Platform;
  • Provide search, messaging, Connections, invitations, feeds, recommendations, notifications, and professional-networking features;
  • Initiate, administer, document, and support Projects, Contract workflows, payments, Deliveries, acceptances, revisions, and disputes;
  • Process and route deposits, payments, Platform Fees, payouts, and refunds through payment providers;
  • Generate previews or watermarks and deliver files or expiring download links;
  • Issue, activate, fulfill, secure, and administer Syncyn Cards;
  • Personalize discovery, Creator recommendations, suggested Connections, posts, Project opportunities, events, features, and communications;
  • Provide customer service and direct network management;
  • Send transactional, operational, social, promotional, and legal communications;
  • Measure traffic, engagement, performance, and effectiveness;
  • Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, misuse, infringement, safety incidents, security threats, and violations of our agreements;
  • Resolve disputes, enforce Contracts and Platform rules, and preserve relevant records;
  • Comply with law, valid legal process, tax and accounting requirements, and regulatory obligations;
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect the rights, property, safety, and integrity of Syncyn, Users, and others; and
  • Carry out another purpose disclosed at collection or authorized by the individual.

6. Profiles, Social Features, and Communications

6.1 Profile Visibility

Profiles are ordinarily accessible only to logged-in Users. Profile information and User Content that a User chooses to publish may be viewed, copied, recorded, or shared by other logged-in Users consistent with Platform functionality.

A limited Creator-authorized Profile-sharing or invitation page may be shown to a person who taps a Syncyn Card or follows another authorized invitation link. Date of birth, login credentials, payment details, and internal Creator-application materials are not displayed as ordinary Profile information.

6.2 Nonpublic Messages

Messages are nonpublic, but they are not inaccessible to Syncyn. They are available to the participating Users and may be accessed by authorized Syncyn personnel when reasonably necessary to:

  • Operate or support the Platform;
  • Investigate a report, fraud, safety concern, or security incident;
  • Administer a Project or dispute;
  • Enforce our agreements;
  • Comply with law; or
  • Protect legal rights.

We do not use nonpublic message content for third-party advertising or AI model training.

6.3 Authorized Representatives

Where representative access is available, an Authorized Representative may receive access only after:

  • The Creator authorizes the representative;
  • The representative provides the notice required by the Terms of Service;
  • Syncyn completes any requested verification; and
  • Syncyn enables approved access.

Either party must promptly notify Syncyn by email if the authority changes or ends. Syncyn may verify the request, restrict access while authority is disputed, and retain records of prior actions as part of the applicable Account, Project, security, or dispute history.

6.4 Information About Other People

A User who provides another person’s contact information or other Personal Information represents that the User is authorized to provide it for the applicable feature.

A User may not use invitations, messages, Profiles, Projects, or other Platform features to collect, disclose, or misuse another person’s information in violation of law or our agreements.

7. Projects, Contracts, Payments, and Deliverables

7.1 Project Records

Syncyn records the steps and actions taken through a Project, including proposals, Key Project Details, modifications, status changes, reviews, acceptances, rejections, payments, Deliveries, revisions, disputes, and timestamps.

These records allow Syncyn to provide the workflow, explain Platform status, administer payments, address technical issues, and preserve an operational history.

7.2 Contracts and Electronic Signatures

The Contract Stage uses third-party electronic-signature functionality. The parties’ underlying Contract is processed through that provider’s systems. Syncyn ordinarily uses workflow status and metadata—such as upload, review, approval, rejection, signature, and completion events—to administer the Project.

The electronic-signature provider processes information under its own privacy policy. Syncyn does not review Contracts for fairness, completeness, or enforceability and does not use Contract contents for advertising or AI model training.

7.3 Payments

Payment providers process payment credentials, deposits, Project payments, payouts, refunds, and related financial information.

Syncyn uses transaction and status information to administer the Project workflow, calculate or route Platform Fees, apply deposits, provide transaction records, address disputes, and comply with accounting or legal obligations. A payment provider may independently retain financial information under its own terms and privacy policy.

7.4 File Deliverables

Syncyn stores File Deliverables using Syncyn-controlled cloud infrastructure and may create a limited preview or watermarked version for review.

Following Acceptance, ordinary Purchaser download access is available for seven days. If delivery occurs through email, the email contains an expiring link rather than the file itself, and the link expires after seven days.

The underlying File Deliverable is ordinarily deleted 30 days after Acceptance. If a dispute is raised, the Deliverable is retained throughout the dispute. After resolution, a new 30-day period begins. Legal holds, fraud or security preservation, backups, and applicable law may require longer limited retention.

7.5 Service Projects

For a Service Project, the Provider may submit a Syncyn form attesting that the Service was rendered and may submit supporting evidence if the feature is available.

Syncyn retains the attestation and related Project records as necessary to administer the Project, document completion, address disputes, and satisfy legal or recordkeeping obligations.

8. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose Personal Information in the following circumstances.

8.1 Other Users and Project Participants

We disclose Profile information, User Content, Connections, messages, Project information, Delivery materials, and other information to the Users or Creators for whom the applicable feature is intended.

Project contact information may be disclosed between participating Creators as described in the Terms of Service, including when reasonably necessary for the parties or their counsel to address obligations under an executed Contract.

8.2 Authorized Representatives

We may disclose Account, message, or Project information to an Authorized Representative after the applicable authorization, notice, verification, and access requirements have been satisfied. Representative access is limited to the approved scope.

8.3 Service Providers

We disclose information to vendors and service providers that perform services for Syncyn, such as:

  • Cloud hosting and storage;
  • Content delivery;
  • Analytics;
  • Identity verification;
  • Payments;
  • Electronic signatures;
  • Email and SMS delivery;
  • Push notifications;
  • Customer support;
  • Fraud prevention;
  • Security;
  • File processing;
  • Shipping and fulfillment; and
  • Professional services.

Service providers may process information only for the services they provide or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.

8.4 Legal, Safety, and Integrity Disclosures

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, or other valid legal process;
  • Respond to government or regulatory authorities;
  • Detect or prevent fraud or security incidents;
  • Investigate illegal or harmful conduct;
  • Protect safety;
  • Enforce our agreements;
  • Resolve disputes; or
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

8.5 Business Transactions

We may disclose or transfer information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, financing, investment, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, corporate restructuring, due diligence, or similar transaction.

A recipient may use the information subject to this Privacy Policy or another policy disclosed as part of the transaction.

8.6 At the Individual’s Direction

We may disclose information when an individual directs us to do so, consents to the disclosure, or intentionally uses a feature that requires disclosure.

8.7 Aggregated or Deidentified Information

We may use and disclose aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be linked to an individual for analytics, research, product development, security, business planning, and other lawful purposes.

We will not attempt to reidentify deidentified information except as permitted by law, including to test whether deidentification methods are effective.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform relies on or may interoperate with third-party services, including:

  • Amazon Web Services;
  • Google Cloud Platform;
  • Apple;
  • Google Analytics;
  • Stripe;
  • An electronic-signature provider;
  • An identity-verification provider; and
  • Communications, shipping, security, or fulfillment providers.

These providers may collect or receive information directly and process it under their own privacy policies. Syncyn does not control independent third-party privacy practices. Users should review the policies of third-party services they choose or are required to use.

Links to social-media pages, portfolios, websites, or other external services are provided for convenience or professional discovery. Visiting an external service may allow that service to collect information about the visitor. This Privacy Policy does not govern external services.

10. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Syncyn and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies when implemented to:

  • Operate and secure the Platform;
  • Remember preferences;
  • Understand usage;
  • Diagnose performance;
  • Prevent fraud; and
  • Measure engagement.

The technologies used may differ between the public website, web application, and mobile application.

We use or may use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, navigation, engagement, device characteristics, and Platform performance. Google may process analytics information under its own privacy terms. Browser or device settings may allow a visitor to limit cookies, but disabling necessary technologies may impair certain features.

At launch, Syncyn does not sell Personal Information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Accordingly, traditional browser “Do Not Track” signals do not change our practices. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal for sale or sharing, we will process that signal as required.

If Syncyn later introduces third-party targeted advertising or materially different tracking, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide required choices before implementation.

11. Communications and Notification Choices

11.1 Operational Communications

Maintaining an Account requires current contact information and permission for Syncyn to send communications reasonably necessary to administer the Account, Creator status, Platform activity, safety matters, and active Projects.

Authorized Syncyn personnel may directly email, text, call, send an in-app message, or use push notifications regarding:

  • Identity or Account verification;
  • Creator applications;
  • Profile or Tier administration;
  • Projects, Contracts, payments, Deliveries, or disputes;
  • Support;
  • Safety;
  • Security;
  • Enforcement; or
  • Legal and policy notices.

These operational communications may not include an unsubscribe mechanism when receipt is reasonably necessary to provide the Platform or administer outstanding obligations.

11.2 Promotional Communications

Syncyn may send promotional email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app communications regarding Creator recommendations, suggested Connections, professional opportunities, content, events, features, product announcements, and promotions, subject to applicable consent requirements.

Promotional emails will include an unsubscribe mechanism. Recipients may opt out of promotional SMS by replying STOP where supported. Opting out of promotional communications does not prevent necessary operational, security, legal, or Project communications.

11.3 Push Notifications

The iOS application may send push notifications concerning messages, Connections, Projects, Contracts, payments, Deliveries, disputes, social activity, recommendations, product announcements, promotions, and Account or security matters.

A User may manage push permissions through iOS settings and any notification controls made available by Syncyn. Disabling push notifications does not eliminate notices displayed within the Platform or sent through another permitted channel.

12. Personalization, Algorithms, Advertising, and AI

12.1 Personalization and Recommendations

Syncyn uses algorithms to organize and personalize search results, Creator recommendations, suggested Connections, posts or feeds, Project opportunities, and notifications.

Relevant factors may include:

  • Tier;
  • City;
  • Job title and industry;
  • Experience and Profile information;
  • Connections and shared Connections;
  • Searches and Profile views;
  • Posts and engagement;
  • Project history;
  • Account activity; and
  • Prior interactions with recommendations.

12.2 Human Judgment for Creator Applications

Creator applications and Tier assignments are determined through manual review by the Syncyn team. Syncyn maintains independent human judgment and does not use a solely automated system to approve or deny Creator applications or assign Tiers.

Algorithms do not independently determine:

  • Project eligibility;
  • Pricing;
  • Platform Fees;
  • Payment release;
  • Account suspension;
  • Dispute outcomes; or
  • Whether another Creator selects a User for a professional opportunity.

12.3 Protected and Sensitive Characteristics

Syncyn does not intentionally use protected or sensitive characteristics to approve applications, assign Tiers, boost or suppress Profiles, personalize advertising, recommend professional opportunities, or make consequential decisions.

Professional criteria provided through a Creator application may be considered even if a free-text response incidentally contains unrelated sensitive information.

12.4 Advertising

At launch, Syncyn does not sell Personal Information, provide Personal Information to data brokers, share User lists with third-party advertisers, or share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Syncyn may promote its own Platform, features, Users, events, or opportunities within the Platform and through direct communications.

If Syncyn later introduces third-party targeted advertising or cross-platform tracking, we will update this Privacy Policy and implement legally required notice, consent, and opt-out controls before doing so.

12.5 Artificial Intelligence

Syncyn does not currently use User Content, nonpublic messages, Contracts, or Deliverables to train artificial-intelligence models.

If Syncyn later introduces AI-assisted application analysis or another AI-powered feature, we will evaluate the data involved, update applicable disclosures, and preserve human approval for Creator applications and Tier assignments.

13. Data Retention and Account Closure

We retain Personal Information for the period reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Platform;
  • Fulfill the purpose for which the information was collected;
  • Administer Accounts and Projects;
  • Resolve disputes;
  • Enforce agreements;
  • Protect safety and security;
  • Prevent fraud;
  • Satisfy accounting and legal obligations; and
  • Establish or defend legal claims.

Retention depends on the type of information and the context in which it was collected.

13.1 Specific Retention Periods

  • Unaccepted invitation contact information is ordinarily retained for up to 60 days.
  • Denied or abandoned Creator applications are ordinarily retained for up to 90 days.
  • Following Acceptance, ordinary access to download a File Deliverable is available for seven days.
  • An accepted File Deliverable is ordinarily deleted 30 days after Acceptance. If a dispute is raised, the file is retained during the dispute and a new 30-day period begins when the dispute is resolved.
  • Pre-registration information is retained as reasonably necessary to administer pre-registration and launch invitations, unless the individual requests deletion or applicable law requires earlier deletion.
  • Most Account, Profile, social, and Project information is retained while the Account remains active.
  • Following effective Account closure, limited Account and related records may be retained for up to one year, subject to longer or shorter periods required by the nature of the record, a verified deletion request, active obligations, or applicable law.

13.2 Account Closure and Removal from the Platform

A User cannot complete Account closure while an active Project or unresolved Platform obligation remains.

When closure becomes effective, the User’s Profile, posts, Connections, and other active Platform content are removed from ordinary User access. Account closure does not require immediate deletion of every backend copy or record.

Syncyn may retain limited:

  • Messages;
  • Project history;
  • Contract-workflow metadata;
  • Transaction records;
  • Dispute records;
  • Reports;
  • Enforcement records;
  • Security logs;
  • Tax or accounting records; and
  • Other information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Information embedded in another User’s communication or Project history may remain in a restricted or deidentified form.

13.3 Deletion Requests, Backups, and Legal Holds

A verified deletion request results in deletion or deidentification of eligible information, subject to applicable exceptions.

Information may remain temporarily in backups until overwritten through ordinary backup cycles. We may preserve information subject to a legal hold, active dispute, fraud or security investigation, payment or tax obligation, or other legal requirement. Our service providers may retain information under their own legal obligations and retention schedules.

13.4 Authorized Representative Records

We retain an Authorized Representative’s standalone contact and authorization information only as long as reasonably necessary to verify or update authority, revoke access, communicate with the parties, and close out pending Account actions.

Historical actions taken by the representative may remain as part of the applicable Account, Project, transaction, security, or dispute record.

14. Security

Syncyn uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Access to nonpublic information is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate operational need. Syncyn’s own production data and backups are maintained in United States Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform regions.

No system or method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials, using secure devices and networks, and promptly notifying Syncyn of suspected unauthorized Account access.

15. Privacy Rights and Requests

15.1 Rights Available to Users

Subject to verification, applicable law, and legitimate exceptions, Syncyn offers Users the ability to request:

  • Confirmation of whether Syncyn processes Personal Information about them;
  • Access to Personal Information and information about how it is processed;
  • Correction of inaccurate Personal Information;
  • Deletion of eligible Personal Information;
  • A portable copy of eligible Personal Information;
  • Withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent; and
  • Opt-out rights that become applicable if Syncyn later engages in targeted advertising, sale, or sharing covered by law.

Syncyn will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual for exercising an applicable privacy right.

15.2 Submitting a Request

Privacy requests are initially processed manually. A User may submit a request by emailing contact@syncyn.io with the subject line “Privacy Request” and describing the requested action.

The User should submit the request from the email address associated with the Account whenever possible.

15.3 Verification

Syncyn may verify a request using:

  • The Account email address;
  • Email or telephone verification;
  • Proof of Account control;
  • Confirmation of relevant Account information; or
  • Additional identity information reasonably necessary in light of the request’s sensitivity.

We request only information reasonably necessary to verify the requester and retain additional verification material only as long as reasonably necessary.

If we cannot verify a request, we may deny it or limit our response.

15.4 Requests Through Other Persons

Privacy requests ordinarily must be submitted directly by the User. Syncyn does not voluntarily permit another person to control or modify a User’s privacy choices merely because that person manages other affairs for the User.

Where applicable law requires Syncyn to recognize an authorized privacy agent, Syncyn may require signed proof of authorization, independently verify the User, directly confirm the requested action, and limit the agent’s authority to the specific request.

A privacy agent does not thereby receive Account access or Project authority.

15.5 Appeals

If Syncyn denies or partially denies a privacy request, the User may appeal by emailing contact@syncyn.io with the subject line “Privacy Request Appeal.”

Syncyn will manually reconsider the request and respond within the time required by applicable law.

15.6 Limitations and Exceptions

Privacy rights are not absolute. We may retain information or decline to disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • Complete a transaction or active Project;
  • Comply with law or legal process;
  • Maintain tax, payment, accounting, or business records;
  • Protect security, safety, and integrity;
  • Prevent fraud or abuse;
  • Preserve evidence;
  • Exercise or defend legal claims;
  • Protect another person’s rights; or
  • Satisfy another applicable exception.

We may also deny requests that are fraudulent, abusive, technically infeasible, or not reasonably verifiable, to the extent permitted by law.

16. Age Restriction

The Platform is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. Syncyn does not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create Accounts or knowingly collect Personal Information from them through the Platform.

If we learn that an individual under 18 has submitted Personal Information in violation of this restriction, we may delete the information and close the Account.

A parent or guardian who believes a minor has provided information may contact us at contact@syncyn.io.

17. United States Operations

Syncyn currently offers the Platform for use in the United States. Syncyn’s own production information and backups are stored and processed in United States cloud regions.

Some service providers may process information in other locations under their own infrastructure and legal obligations. An individual who accesses the Platform from outside the United States understands that information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in the individual’s location.

18. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Platform, information practices, vendors, technology, legal requirements, or business operations.

We will post the updated Privacy Policy and revise the Effective Date. When reasonably practicable and required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes through the Platform, email, or another appropriate channel.

If a change requires consent, we will request consent before applying the change as required.
